An early component of an ongoing project on the formal structures of networks, drone vision and continuing reverberations of colonialism at the intersection of technology, space and abstraction. The film attempts to filter representing historically contested geography in Zimbabwe through the gestures of the colour blue. It queries the complicity of contemporary aesthetics “from above” in perpetuating neo-colonial forgetting and historical appropriation.
